Though they ARE trying. Following in their predecessors' footsteps and all. I just keep expecting Mako and Bolin to be...I don't know, BETTER benders. More like Zuko and Toph.
P.S. I know Katara's not here, but she doesn't have a Korra counterpart. Korra would be the new waterbender, but first and foremost, she's the avatar. So Aang got to be her predecessor.
